ALLEN
Allen the Alien is a superpowered Unopan, a member of the Coalition of Planets and an ally of Invincible. Allen first appears in Invincible #5, published by Image Comics/Skybound, as a key supporting character in Robert Kirkman's superhero saga.
Allen was born in an Unopan breeding camp. His purpose was be the strongest Unopan due to their borderline extinction at the hands of the Viltrumites. Other Unopans were experimented on until Allen was able to survive the various experiments without getting any disfigurements. He was strong, but wasn't strong enough to defeat the Viltrumites.
Although his function as a defense against the Viltrumites was ineffective, he later assumed the position of a Coalition of Planets' evaluation officer, traveling to different planets in multiple galaxies in search of a warrior capable of defeating the Viltrumites. After a close brush with death, Allen gained increased strength and was able to compete with the strongest Viltrumites. After recruiting Invincible, he managed to bring his father, Nolan, on board so they could unitedly work together to bring the Empire's reign of terror to a permanent end.
Despite his dedication to work, Allen retains a funny demeanor and a comedic essence, evident even in combat, as he cracks jokes while overcoming Invincible in outer space. Upon realizing he had analyzed the wrong planet, and as Invincible highlighted his mistake, he showed considerable friendliness, apologized for the assault, and allied with him.
Allen possesses immense physical strength, though originally well-below most Viltrumites. However, after recovering from near-fatal death against Thula, Lucan, and Vidor, his adaptive physiology granted newfound might (as even Anissa, the strongest female Viltrumite, bled with a single punch.) Even Battle Beast, a being known for his superior strength and high standards in battle, recognized Allen as a formidable opponent. During the Viltrumite Prison breakout, Allen held his own against a powerful Viltrumite soldier, allowing himself to be momentarily overpowered to inspire Nolan to fight back.
