Gameplay

Honkai: Star Rail is a turn-based sci-fi role-playing game (RPG) by HoYoverse where you control a team of four characters exploring futuristic worlds aboard the Astral Express. Combat is turn-based, with the order determined primarily by each character's and enemy's Speed stat on an action bar. During your turn, you choose from three main commands, Enemies feature a white Toughness Bar (shield) placed above their main Health Bar, Hitting an enemy with an element they are weak to depletes their Toughness Bar. Reducing the Toughness Bar to zero triggers a break, interrupting the enemy, dealing extra damage, and applying special elemental debuffs: Physical, Fire, Lightning, Wind: Apply Damage over Time (DoT) effects (bleed, burn, shock, shear). Ice: Freezes the enemy and skips their turn. Quantum: Applies Entanglement to delay their action and deal delayed damage. Imaginary: Imprisons the enemy, reducing their Speed and delaying their turn.
