Lore about Maddox

Maddox is a character I created based of the game Dead Rails

He is a Navajo Man who grew up with his mother till the age of 5 when his father took him away to raise him as an cowboy/outlaw

He despised his father and with his instrest he freak his fathers posse out

So his father left him at the doorstep of Maddox beloved mentor Samuel

Maddox grew up with Samuel

But after Maddox did something horrendous Samuel decided to take the fall and was hanged

Maddox never forgave the town so he continued and was too sentenced to hang

though right before his trail was to start werewolves attacked the town leaving only him

Once he freed himself from the jail he found the sheriff barely alive and took his badge and became

The Sheriff of Heartsberg

Maddox of Icewind Dale however

He was never sentenced he had traded his humanity for the gift for necromancy from the Goddess Auril the pale lady

He waits for his humanity to be returned but he believes it is too late.
