Nihil-San
LV 29
"Nihil-San" has a very bizarre master chart. Unlike many other songs in the game, this level makes you play the melody and bass-line simultaneously, which can easily trip me up. This chart also suffers from heavy levels of visual noise that make rather simple note patterns artifically difficult to parse.
D/N/A
LV 31
"D/N/A" is probably my favorite chart in the entire game. I love the song itself, and the level itself mostly flows to the (albeit very fast) melody. Despite my general dislike for weird note shapes that feel artificially difficult, "D/N/A" uses them in ways that feel much more fun than confusing. I can almost full combo this entire song up until the outro where the notes match the very quick bassline and the speed causes my wrists to cramp up.
BAKENOHANA
LV 31
"BAKENOHANA" is an experience of a chart. For one, this mapping reflects a rare choice to incorporate the storytelling of the game's main narrative into the charts; in this level notes appear to be glitching to represent the detoriating mental health of a character in the story. Though the BPM is rapid, the song is very doable for me until the final 15 seconds where the song's percussion line switches to a truly oppressive rate and the notes become unreadable.
