AELDARI

The Aeldari, or Eldar as they were long known to outsiders, are an ancient species of humanoid xenos in the 41st Millenium. They were created by a far more ancient race, the Old Ones, to fight alongside the Krorks against the Necrontyr in the War in Heaven. Following their victory, the Aeldari would reign supreme over the galaxy -- that is, until their pride and hedonism caught up with them. With the birth of Slaanesh, the Chaos God of Excess, their once great empire would be scattered across the stars into several groups, including, but not limited to: the Asuryani or Craftworld Aeldari, the Drukhari, the Rilletan or Harlequins, and the Anhrathe or Aeldari Corsairs.

Each and every Aeldari born was brought into this world a potent psyker, a user of magic far beyond understanding. These powers would allow them to create and power the technologies they utilized in day to day life. Now, that raw, psychic potential is a horrid beacon for Slaanesh and the other Daemonic forces that plague the 41st Millenium. However, the Aeldari are not yet extinct -- though close to it, not one group of them shall allow that to happen, at least not without a fight.
