Leopard Gecko Care

Leopard Geckos live between 10 and 20 years in captivity, sometimes even more. This makes them great starter pets. Leopard Geckos require a variety in their diet and cannot live off of just eating one thing. It will affect their lifespan. Leopard Geckos are very cost friendly pets, except for the original downpayment to get their tank, thermometer, hydrometer, and tank decorations. After that, gecko food is relatively cheap, and light replacements are usually only once every 3 or 4 months. Leopard Geckos themselves are not very expensive to purchase, unless you want a specific morph that's a bit more pricey. A leopard gecko from a regular pet store is going to range from $70-$100. While Leopard Geckos are easy pets to keep, you still have to be very attentive to them. Leopard Geckos often lose toes due to struggle with shedding, so you do have to make sure they are shedding properly and their enclosure conditions allow them to do so. Leopard Geckos can also lose their tail if startled or scared, so treating them with care is very important.
