Cubes Themselves
A general Rubick’s cube has 6 sides, yellow on the top, white on the bottom, and in order: blue, red, green, and orange, on the sides. Yellow and white; blue and green; and red and orange; will most always be parallel to each other. The popular and well known Rubick’s Cubes are 3x3, which just mean each side of the cube has 3x3 pieces. However, there many many many different sizes and kinds of Rubick’s cubes like the 4x4, 2x2, and 5x5. For competitions, they only go up to 5x5 times officially, but depending on the event, it can be any kind of cube. When solving Rubick’s cubes, they use a system called algorithms. These lists of Algorithms are letters that meana move. For example, a simple R means to turn the right side of the cube up, while R’ means to turn that same side but this time down. When they use a quotation on the letter, it’s the prime version of the move, simply meaning just to the opposite move.
