Maintenance

Typically with cube maintenance it’s very quick, but it’s a big thing in the cubing. Keeping the cube clean and well lubed up makes solving quicker and more efficient with the turns and rotations. The best way to clean a cube would be to take it appart, then with a clean microfiber cloth, or any cloth, and wipe down each piece and then wipe down the main core piece within every cube. With cheaper cubes, sometimes it’s not even possible to take apart the cube, and even if it’s possible, since they’re made from cheap plastic, it’s very breakable when taking it apart. More expensive cubes made for speed cubing would intentionally make it possible to take it apart. Which also explains whenever a cuber would go too fast for their own cube, it’d explode.
